Happy New
Year! Okay, it's late, but I still
mean it! I participated in the
Macomb Book Fair yesterday with a session on
writing a terrific book proposal. Great
turnout! Good questions were asked
too! Beverly Jenkins gave a wonderful
speech at the luncheon and several area authors
showed up to do sessions on writing and the
publishing business. If you're interested
in writing and getting your book published you
should have been there. There was no
charge for the sessions. A noteworthy
session was even given by local television
personality, Lee Thomas.

My writing is going slow right
now, but a new contract would speed things
up! I'm still fine tuning the proposal
with the chemical engineer and sending it to my
new temporary editor by the end of this
week. Did I tell you I'm about to be an
orphan at my publishing house again?
Hope whoever ends up as my new permanent editor
happens to love my writing...
In October I attended Beverly
Jenkins Pajama party in Ann Arbor, MI, along
with Evelyn Palfrey, Karen White Owens, Sylvia
Hubbard, and Janea Black, and we had a
ball! Many thanks to Beverly for inviting
all of us down for her panel and also to her
gracious fans. There was a slight problem
with my books since they could not get my
latest, "A Serial Affair". This
hurts me because according to my royalty
statements there are plenty out there.
This isn't the first time this has happened at a
recent signing either.
If you didn't notice on the
home page of this site, I have a copy of my new
cover for Vegas Bites Back
and I think it's awesome! Check it out!!
I participated in a warm and
welcoming book signing at Paperbacks N Things on
Wayne Road in Westland, Michigan along with Jodi
Lynn Copeland, Tawny Taylor and Mandy Roth
. With the cake, soda, all the good
company, and wonderful variety of books, we had
a lot of fun...
If you're wondering, I'm still
working on a newsletter. It'll probably be
a quarterly newsletter, so look for it.
Also, if you want to receive it, send your email
address to me at Natalie@nataliedunbar.com
I will be sending postcards with the new cover
for Vegas Bites Back. If you'd like one,
send a self addressed, stamped envelope to
Natalie Dunbar, P.O. Box 626, Royal Oak, MI,
48068.

I'm in
proposal mode again! I just sent a
romantic suspense proposal to my editor about an
undercover DEA agent and the chemical engineer
who shows up at his new assignment and refuses
to stay in his past . I'm also
revising another about a woman who is not
who she thinks she is...
THE RWA
CONFERENCE IN DALLAS WAS A BLAST. I POSTED
PICTURES ON MY PHOTOS AND FUN PAGE. CHECK
IT OUT!
